I was a patient of Dr. Stein's at the Center for Weight Management at Long Island Jewish hospital. He always told me that by preparing myself physically for bariatric surgery I would give myself the best possible chance for a positive outcome. I had the surgery with Dr. Sandeep Malholtra and did very well. I lost a lot of weight and best of all, I've kept it off because I still exercise.

I was a patient of Dr. Stein's at the Center for Weight Management and I lost over 100 pounds without surgery in a year at age 74. Don't let anybody tell you it can't be done.

Dr. Stein spoke at my bariatric support group meeting and motivated me to start exercising before my surgery. I came through the surgery well and have lost a lot of weight over the past year. Thanks to Dr. Stein's advice I've kept the weight off and feel great.

I agree that exercise is important before and after bariatric surgery. I had the surgery two years ago and I exercise every day. I feel great.

Exercise is what keeps my head on straight and my weight down.
